Visa Type

  • One Visa application form which must be completed in English and signed by the applicant.
  • 2 recent passport photos 40 x 60 mm white background
  • Original Passport
  • valid for at least 6 months from the date of return.
  • Copy of Passport and previous Schengen visas issued during last 3 years.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages (back-to-back).
  • Original documents must be presented along with photocopies
  • Hotel confirmation for the entire duration of the trip to the Schengen Countries. Please note that the majority of stay will have to be in Italy.
  • Photocopy of passport
  • Air ticket booking and copy to any destination in Italy or train tickets or Car reservation.
  • All Risk Health and Travel Insurance with minimum coverage of EURO 30.000,
  • Covering letter
  • If Employed:
  • Letter from employer for leave authorization from the employer of the applicant addressed to the Embassy of Italy providing the date of your employment, position held, monthly salary, duration of your authorized trip.
  • Three months original salary certificate
  • Original bank Statement for last 6 months signed and stamped by the bank
  • Income tax return for last 3 years
  • Credit card copy with statement of credit limit.
  • The submission and collection of your visa application and passport from VFS can be done either by the applicant himself/herself or through any authorized person who bears an original authorization letter signed by the applicant and a photo-ID.

  • Company Bank statement for last 6 months
  • Income tax return for 3 years
  • Company GST certificate

  • For children travelling with Parents : Copy of parent’s passport first page with signature & second page and valid Schengen visa
  • Translated Child birth certificate.
  • In case of parents not traveling with the child. Copy of parent’s civil id, passport first page with signature & second page and Copy of the passport and the valid Schengen visa of the companying person.
  • Parental Authorization form must be filled in English.
  • For students: proof of enrolment in school/university
  • Parents must attend personally to VFS along with children.
