Documents Required for Visa
- THE FOLLOWING PERSONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR TOURIST VISAS:
- Certain professions require a “journalist” visa. The sectors of activity concerned by this requirement are: cinema, television, media, writing, publishing, press, photography, communication and advertising. (This list is non-exhaustive). Please refer to the Journalist Visa checklist.
- Passport
- Original passport valid for a minimum of 6 months
- At least 3 blank pages (of which 2 must be side by side)
- A photocopy of the data page of the passport.
- Application form
- One recent (less than six months old) passport-size photograph in color.
- Copies of the most recent visas and stamps.
- Overseas travel medical insurance valid for all Schengen-countries. The insurance has to cover the applicant for at least 30,000 Euros or equivalent.
- Hotel confirmation and travel itinerary.
- Flight reservations of return or round ticket.
- Marriage Certificate: If travelling with spouse - Copy of marriage certificate, if applicant is married and cannot provide evidence of marital status in the passport; copy of ration card, if applicable.
- In case of minors (< 18 years) traveling:
- If the minor is traveling with only one parent, written consent certified by public notary of the other parent or guardian, except in cases of a parent having sole custody or guardianship of the minor.
- If the minor travels alone (without parents), written consent from both parents or guardians having custody of the minor.
- A photocopy of both parents’ passports. If not, copies of the photo ID cards with signature of the parents
- A photocopy of Birth certificate
- Original personal bank statement with applicant's name for the last six months, duly stamped and signed by the bank.
- Evidence of source of financial support such as:
- Indian income tax return acknowledgment for the last three assessment years; If the applicant is employed.
- Pay slips for the last three months.
- Employment contract and holiday approval/leave letter from employer If the applicant is salaried.
- Certificate of registration of the company in case of business owner.
- Proof of sponsorship and a letter from the sponsor as well as copy of the sponsor’s photo ID (e.g. passport, Aadhaar card or driver’s license).
- If the applicant is retired: Pension statements for the last three months.
- Proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business .
